Welcome to our new website! We are excited that you are visiting with us.

We wanted to give you a little bit of background about the history of the RePurpose Place. In 2008 my husband and I launched NeighborLink Porter County. NeighborLink helps disadvantaged families with basic home maintenance and repairs through a volunteer website. Our mission is practical neighbor-to-neighbor expresssions of God’s love. You can find that here.

Several years later in 2013, we were looking for a way to turn over some merchandise that had been donated, but was starting to deteriorate. That is how the idea of the RePurpose Place of NeighborLink came to life!

Through the generosity of so many, in August of 2015, we started taking donations of new and gently used furniture, appliances and building materials at 102 Beverly Dr in Chesterton, IN. In that time, we have filled to capacity that over 5,000 sq. ft building.

Because of the generosity of so many, our NeighborLink volunteers have been able to help many families in Porter County with painting, cleaning, yard work, HVAC, plumbing, transportation and so much more!

If you would like to be part of either of these amazing organizations, please see our Volunteer link at the top of the this page, or click on the NeighborLink link at the top as well!

Sincerely,
Judy
